Pacific Judicial Development Programme (PJDP)

Principal Consultant, Margaret Barron is the Lead Adviser, Trainer of Trainers for the Pacific Judicial Development Programme, Phase 2. The role resumes and consolidates the three tiered faculty development programme for selected judges, court officers and lay magistrates of participating Pacific countries commenced in Phase 1 of the Pacific Judicial Development Programme.

The aim of the project is to establish a Regional Training Team of accredited judicial trainers.

Margaret has designed and conducted a series of ‘Training-of-Trainers’ Workshops throughout the Pacific region. Workshops have been held in:

  • Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia
  • Auckland, New Zealand
  • Rarotonga, Cook Islands
  • Alotau, Papua New Guinea

Margaret is currently developing an e-mentoring program for participants who have completed the training workshops and have returned to their Pacific island countries to delivery training. The program will assist them in designing, developing and delivering training programs.
